Among the singers the Argentinian star tenor, José Cura, outshines all others. He was flown in for the four first performances with raised ticket prices and is worth each "krone" (= Danish currency) with his musical, well flowing phrases and a multifaceted voice, that glides effortlessly through all corners of the piece. At the same time he act physically real, synchronized with his roles.

A capacity of power
Also in Pagliacci is José Cura the experienced capacity of power, that makes the performance shine. Not least in his crying aria about the clowns sad fate. He gets a fine counter play in the sincere duets by the soprano Sine Bundegaard.
